One Year in Denver.

Yesterday was our one year anniversary of living in Denver. Hard to believe that one year ago we were in an empty apartment… Nothing but the bags we brought with us in the van. Waiting a good 8 days, if I remember right, for our stuff to finally show up.

We rented movies and watched them on laptops. Got air beds from Super Target to sleep on. Dollar store pots, pans, silverware, cups, etc.

Then our stuff doesn’t show up on time. And the trucker driving it outright lies to us about where he is and why he’s horribly late. Then he shows up and sleeps in his cab while other men unload most (we’re still missing at least one box) of our stuff and 4 boxes of someone else’s.

Lesson learned: Do NOT use Pual Arpin Van Lines out of Dayton Ohio EVER.

Such stressful times, but we made it here and now we’ve made it one full year. We’re looking forward to another year.

I don’t understand how you managed to get a van line out of Dayton, OH to move from Michigan to Colorado. Am I missing something?

Maybe what you’re missing is that Ann Arbor is closer to Ohio than it is to anything else in Michigan?

We went through a local moving company, but the move was too big for them. So they outsourced it to a partner, a van line that was already doing a move from Ohio to Texas.
