Indecent Exposure Near Miss

I thought you all might like a good laugh, even if it is at my own expense.
Today I am working from home with a Travis (2 years old), sick.  We have been relaxing in our jammies (note: “jammies” for me means boxers and a white t-shirt) while I work and he watches Sesame Street.  Everything [...]

Ich Bin Leo.

We got Kincaid this Little Einstein’s plush Leo doll for Christmas:

I just started to remove it from it’s box and noticed that the packaging is for the Little Einstein’s June doll.
Not only that, but then I squeezed his tummy to make him talk… and he seems to speak only German.
Packaging epic fail.

Sunday School

Yesterday morning I was talking with Janelle (6 years old, in KG) and she was telling me all about how school works.
“First there’s Kindergarten, which is in elementary school. Then there’s Church, Middle School, High School and then College.”
I laughed. “Ummm… Church?”
“Yeah, church,” she replied.
So I asked, “What’s Church?”
“Oh, it’s just one of [...]

So, I made a dress this week…

…for a paper doll. Janelle’s homework was to make a paper doll, with parents help, look like herself. So I made an outfit for her doll. Here she is the morning right before going to school with her homework in a matching outfit:

Normally, when I’m faced with something new, I immerse myself in how-to’s, specs, opinions, and really just about any [...]

Green Eggs and Ham Part 2 (Flash Cards)

Janelle loves learning to read. She is one of 5 “readers” in her KG class because she is doing so well at it. Her first week of school she was given flash cards of some common words to memorize before January. I think she had them solid in one week.
So, I had [...]

Green Eggs and Ham

I stumbled this tonight (help! stumbleupon.com consumes me!) and thought it was great. Did you know that Green Eggs and Ham has only 50 words in it?
How many of the 50 unique words in the story can you come up with in 10 minutes? I got 45 of 50. Had about 6 [...]

The Adventures of Froggy and Ziggy.

Meet Froggy

And Ziggy

Froggy is a resident in Mrs. Sharp’s Kindergarten class at Dry Creek Elementary. Ziggy is a resident in Mrs. Darcy’s Preschool class at Highline Elementary. Every kid in each class gets to take them home for a couple of days. They both come with a bag containing several items: books [...]

Janelle’s Second First Day of Kindergarten

Janelle had her second first day of Kindergarten yesterday. Before we packed up our lives and moved to Colorado, she started Kindergarten in Ann Arbor. She absolutely loved it, all about 1.5 months of it. When we got here though, we found that the cut off date made it so she couldn’t [...]

Happy Father’s Day To Me

My wife/kids present to my on fathers day:
